The 15th annual !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! will happen on September 17th of this year and I have already registered (today is the first day of registration) for it as it is an amazing event every year.
So what is it?
It is a casual cycling event through the many neighborhoods of Detroit. There is a 30-mile ride that is on closed roads with police leading the way, there is also a 60-mile ride that is not escorted, but does have SAG support.
This will be my 3rd year doing the 30-mile ride. I can easily do the 60, but I ride with my family and friends for this ride and take it easy. As do most others. Among the nearly 8,000 riders is an assortment of everything from the casual rider to the category racer and even the truly eccentric. It is meant for fun and is followed by music, food and drinks (local beer and some wine) in Roosevelt Park.
